Mile-square city, pre-1900 brownstones, brick walkups older than almost anything else we touch. We started taking Hoboken jobs around 2014. The first one was a brownstone stoop on the Castle Point side that the prior contractor had rebuilt with the wrong stone color. We've been back every season since for façade repointing, stoop rebuilds, and the occasional rear-yard patio on the narrow lots.

Things we've been asked most often by homeowners we've worked with in Hoboken. Don't see your question? Give us a call.
Yes. We source matched-tone replacement stone from Connecticut quarries when the original supplier's stone is no longer available. The cut and weathering profile matters as much as the color.
Most pre-1900 Hoboken brick was laid with soft lime mortar, soft so the joints absorb building movement instead of the brick face. Repoint with hard modern Portland mortar and the brick starts spalling fast. We use Type N lime-rich mortar matched to the original binder.
Yes, we've done a fair number in the Southwest. Material gets staged curbside per the parking schedule, drainage goes to the street outlet (rear-yard pumps aren't an option in most cases), and the install runs 5 to 7 days.
