Housing stock
Passaic's housing stock is the most multi-family-dense in our service area. Most of our work here is on three- and four-deckers where the entire street face is original brick that's reaching the 100-year mark. Repointing is rarely a 'spot fix' — once one course needs work, the adjacent courses usually do too, and we plan and quote that way. The Speer Avenue and Main Avenue corridors are commercial frontages with storefronts at street level. Most of the lintels above those storefronts are original wrought iron or wood that's rusted/rotted to the point of needing full replacement with stainless steel. That's a planning-department conversation as much as a masonry one.
